DentCare NOVA Overdentures are dental prosthetic solutions with a framework of the denture base cast using a Cobalt-Chromium alloy. The overdenture looks and works like a fixed denture, which means patients with more missing teeth may have the same aesthetic and comfort as fixed dentures offer. The difference is that the denture can only be removed for cleaning, inspection, repair or enlargement in the case of abutment loss. The outer crown and casting are linked together by soldering or adhesive fixation.
Acrylic artificial teeth replace the missing ones, and the loss or defects of the alveolar bone are restored by methacrylate-copolymer resin base material. While the inner copings are luted on the abutment teeth, the outer crowns, framework, and denture saddles can be removed as one piece by the patient at any time. Once inserted in the oral cavity, the telescopic double-crown retained overdenture shows no retentive eleAments like claps or attachments.
The prosthetic teeth can be selected to be the same shade and shape as the patient's natural teeth, facilitating a seamless combination with their oral aesthetics.
